MILLER: Gordon “Gord” Roy Miller of Rivers, MB passed away at the Riverdale District Health Centre, Rivers, MB on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at 64 years of age after a seven year battle with cancer. Gord is survived by daughter Kelly (Scott) Bell and their children Amber and Niko; Renee Johnston and her children, David Miller and his children; special friend Shawn Allen (Theresa Mansfield) and their children Mary-Ann and Johnathon; and brother Ken (Joan) Miller. Gord was predeceased by his parents Lorne and Pearl Miller and brother Steven Miller. Gord’s highlight of his working career was driving a school bus for many years. A service to celebrate Gord’s life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Hall, Rivers, MB on Monday, October 22, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. For those so desiring, donations may be made in Gord’s memory to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation, Rm ON1160, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R3E 0V9; Brandon Humane Society, 2200 17th St., Brandon, MB, R7A 7M6; or to the Riverdale Palliative Care Program, c/o Riverdale Health Centre, Rivers, MB, R0K 1X0.
