LAMPERTZ: It is with sadness we say goodbye to our brother Larry, who lost his battle with Parkinsons and dementia on Monday, February 25, 2019, at the Hartney Community Health Centre. Larry was born September 7, 1946 at Melita, MB to Jacob and Annie (Dhur) Lampertz. He grew up on the farm at Napinka NW 22-4-26 and attended school in Napinka. Larry began working for Stewarts Lumber at an early age for a few years and then he moved on to operating heavy equipment until health issues prevented him from doing so. He worked on the Limestone, Conawapa and Wuskwatim Hydro Dams in northern Manitoba. He also worked different jobs with companies in Alberta and spent some time working with his nephew Dean. When his brother-in-law Sam passed away, he returned home to help his sister on the farm. He worked for Keith Jones building oil leases, and road work for Penteluk Construction of Estevan. He was also employed by Day Construction and GCCL both of Carnduff, SK and Cameron Construction of Melita. Larry wasnt afraid of work but he also played hard too. When he had some spare time he loved to be on the golf course. Larry was predeceased by his parents, Jacob and Annie (Dhur) Lampertz; brother-in-law, Sam Mason; sister-in-law, Marion Lampertz. He is survived by his brother, George and his family: Cindy (Glen) Forsyth and their children, Sheena (Greg), Cory (Courtney), Candice (Ron) Lenz, (Joe and girls), Tony (Alison) and their children, Laird (Catherine), Jordan (Calla) and Leandra and Deah Buchanan and children, Jayden, Jenai, and Joryn; sister, Irene Mason and her family, Duane (Leanne) Mason, Sherri Murray (Morgan and Brett), and Dean Mason.
