CHAPMAN: Margaret Eva Chapman passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 9, 2019 surrounded by family. She was born in Brandon, Manitoba on May 29, 1938. Marg was the second of four children born to Gladys and Harold Williamson. She was raised in Brandon, and met the love of her life Thory Chapman in 1954 through a family friend. Marg and Thory were married shortly thereafter and welcomed their son William "Bill". Marg was devoted to her role as a mother and encouraged Bill in every activity he pursued. When the time came, Marg was thrilled to become a mother-in-law and grandmother. Marg lived for her family, and spent many of her days looking after and spoiling her two granddaughters Angela and Stacy. Marg worked at Fabricland, Co-op, and then found her calling working in health records at BMHC for twenty-three years. After her retirement Marg and Thory enjoyed travelling including many trips to Victoria, BC to visit friends, as well as venturing to Alaska, Cuba and England. Family and friends were always a priority for Marg and she spent many hours helping her siblings and lunching with her ladies. Marg was a generous person donating whatever she could spare to almost every charity that came her way. Later in life Marg developed a love for bingo and curling and attended the Brier in 2019. Marg was predeceased by her parents Gladys and Harold, husband Thory, brothers John "Bud" and Harold, sister Betty, sister-in-law Bev, and brothers-in-law Harvey and Kelly.
