DAVIDSON: Betty Elaine Davidson. On Friday February 15, 2019, Betty, beloved mom, grandma and dear friend passed away peacefully surrounded by love. Born in Minnedosa, Manitoba on March 28, 1943 Betty was the middle child of Ernest and Clara (May) Instance. On June 20th, 1964 she married Ralph and they resided in Brandon, Manitoba on 8th Street where they raised their two boys John and Robert (Bob). After Ralphs passing in 1996, she stayed in the home until moving to Hobbs Manor for 15 years and then in August 2017 moved to McClure Place in Winnipeg where she made many close friends and felt at home there in a short time. Bettys first priority was always family, but she still found time to work outside the home at the Brandon General Hospital. Once the boys were older, she went back to work at the Drop-In Centre, Dr. Scotts ophthalmologist office, WeCare (NewLife) Healthcare and also on weekends as a volunteer farm hand helping her husband out on the family hobby farm. Betty enjoyed crocheting, owls, baking, making homemade soups, listening to Michael Buble and Elvis, reading and caring for the libraries at Hobbs Manor and McClure Place, spoiling her furry grandpets with treats, watching curling, and especially cheering on her grandchildren at their hockey games. Family time was always important and special memories of annual family vacations will forever be cherished. Any family gathering was a recipe for lasting memories that will be held close to our hearts. She will be forever lovingly remembered by her two boys John (Kierin) and Robert (Crystal) and her two precious grandchildren, Sean and Cailey, who she cherished dearly and was quick to share proud Grandma stories about. Also remembered by her uncle Art Pargeter (Ialeen) and their family, sister-in-law Dana Instance, niece Jacqui (Justin), their children Hunter, Connor and Rowin. Special nephew Ernie Cameron (Wendy) who she shared many short 3 hour coffee breaks with, brother-in-law Hector Cameron and her many cousins, nieces and nephews. Betty was predeceased by her husband Ralph who she is now reunited with, in a beautiful place, 23 years later. She was also predeceased by her parents, sister Lenora and brother Jim and other family members who have gone before her. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 20, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at her home church, St. Matthews Anglican Cathedral, 403 13th Street in Brandon. Following the service she will be laid to rest next to her husband on their 55th wedding anniversary in Rosewood Memorial Gardens, Brandon, Manitoba. A special thank you to Dr. L. Groves and Dr. S.
