PACHAL: Lucy Elenor Pachal (nee Scott). The family of Lucy Pachal are saddened to announce that Lucy passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Friday, December 6, 2019. Lucy was born on December 21, 1930 on a farm north of Forrest where she lived with her parents, sister and two brothers. After having moved to Brandon for work, Lucy met Ted Pachal at a dance at the Palladium Hall and they were married on November 8, 1950. Ted and Lucy bought a farm and together built their first home in the Roseland district. They resided in the Roseland district until relocating to Brandon in 1999. After Ted’s passing, Lucy moved to Parkview Senior’s Co-op where she lived until her passing. Lucy was predeceased by her loving husband Ted, parents George and Eunice Scott, parents-in-law Carl and Elizabeth Pachal, brother Bill Scott, sisters-in-law Lorna Scott and Margaret Pachal and brothers-in-law Bill Leys and Louie Jarnouin. Lucy is survived by her son Doug (Myrna) Pachal; daughters Kathie (Don) Nelson, Bev (Dave) Drummond, Karen (Doug) Buckman; 7 grandchildren Taryn, Karleen, Lisa, Christopher, Breanne, Ethan and Allyson and their spouses; 9 great-grandchildren; sister Lila (Dennis) Baker, brother Art (Pat) Scott and brother-in-law Frank Pachal. A private family interment was held with a memorial service following at Memories Chapel on Thursday, December 12, 2019. Lucy’s family would like to thank Dr. Butler, the doctors and nurses at the Brandon Regional Health Centre for the care and compassion that she received. Also thank you to Craig and staff at Memories Chapel for guiding us through this difficult time.
