HUME: Arthur John (Jack) passed away on May 11, 2020 at the age of 80. Jack was born in Hamiota and grew up in Oak River. He married Donna Henry on July 9, 1965. They have 3 children that they raised in Oak River, Rob, Jeff and Jacquie. Jack joined his father in the family business Humes Hardware which eventually Jack, Rob and Jeff turned into Shennanigans Restaurant/Lounge. At the age of 18 Jack started driving a route for Rolling River School Division and continued driving a school bus for the next 52 years. He also enjoyed his time driving a charter bus for Prairie Coach Bus Lines. In 2010 Jack and Donna built their home in Onanole. He enjoyed multiple sports with curling being his main love. He was proud to receive an Honorary Life Membership to the Manitoba Curling Association which was extra special, being that he was the 4th generation of the Hume family to have received this recognition. His grandchildren were precious to him. He enjoyed camping trips with them, going on adventures and following their chosen activities. He is predeceased by his parents Aubrey and Gwen. He is survived by his wife Donna, children Rob, Jeff, Jacquie (Norm) Gage. He will be especially missed by his grandchildren Bryson (Sarah), Brandi (Wade), Trinity, Rylan, Reanna and great grandson Brody. He is also survived by his sister Margaret (Tom) Starr. Our family would like to thank everyone for the outpouring of condolences and support at this time. A family graveside burial will take place at a later time.
