ANITA MARCELLE PELLAND

(nee Fillion)

It is with deep sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of their beloved mother, Anita Pelland, on Sunday, Aug. 23, 2020 at the Villa Youville Nursing Home, Ste Anne, MB, at the age of 87.

Anita is survived by her two sons, Norbert (Patricia) and Michel; her daughter, Ginette (Les); and her four grandchildren, Steven (Lindsey), Amanda (TJ), Christian (Cédelyne), and Adrienne. She is also survived by Sister Simone, Sister Claire, her sisters Florence Collette (Marcel) and Fernande Damphousse, her brother Yvon (Claire), her sister-in-law Gilberte, as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by Adrien Pelland, her parents Marie-Anne (née Dupuis) and Louis Fillion, her sisters Céline Parent and Lucille Morin, and her brother Sylvio, brothers-in-law Cyprien Morin, Lionel Parent and Paul Damphouse.

After Anita and Adrien were married they lived on the family farm in Aubigny, MB where they raised their three children. Anita worked as a substitute teacher and as an Electrolux saleslady for 25 years, winning several awards for top saleslady.

We would like to give a special thank you to all those who took care of and those who visited Anita at Villa Youville in Ste Anne, MB.

She will be missed by friends and family. We will always miss her loving and caring heart and beautiful smile.

A private family service will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 8 at 2 p.m. at Ste-Agathe Church. Guests by invitation only.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Anita’s memory to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba at 120 Donald St, Winnipeg, MB, R3C 4G2.
