IAN BRENDAN KLASSEN
May 25, 1988-Aug. 1, 2020
Ian Brendan Klassen, 32 years old, of Grunthal, MB, passed away suddenly and peacefully Saturday, Aug. 1, 2020, at his residence.
He is survived by his mother, Sandy Klassen; father, Vic Klassen; brother, Ryan Klassen and sister-in-law Vicky Klassen; also survived by sister-in-law, Valarie Hamm; grandmother, Rita Sawatzky; long-term girlfriend, Tatiana Vandepoele; aunts and uncles, Marlene and Dennis Dueck, Carol and Randy Remple, Raymond and Norine Gunther; and a long list of cousins.
He was predeceased by his grandparents Eric and Netty Gunther and grandfather Frank Sawatzky.
Ian was born in Winnipeg, MB in 1988.
He enjoyed spending time with family and his girlfriend and time at the cottage. His love for animals was evident in the long list of pets he had throughout his life. He excelled at baseball, being a dominant pitcher throughout his school years. He loved watching hockey and cheering on the Jets. He was also an avid gamer.
Cremation has taken place.
The private family service was held Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2020 from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel. Social distancing and COVID-19 restrictions were in effect.
Instead of flowers, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society or the CMHA (Canadian Mental Health Association).
