RUTH ADAMS
(nee Peters)

Ruth Adams (nee Peters), 73 years, of Winnipeg, MB, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2020 at the Health Sciences Centre, Winnipeg.

Ruth was born on Nov. 30, 1946 in Vita, MB to Jacob and Annie Peters (nee Harms). She was their second child and had six brothers, David, Jim (Jacob), John, Nick, Neil and Tim. She was predeceased by her parents, her brothers David and Tim, and one nephew.

Ruth attended school in Carrick, MB. The family moved to Dominion City, MB before she went on to work as a seamstress in Winnipeg and then as a key employee in a family business owned by Jake and Agatha Wall in Zhoda, MB. Ruth was welcomed as a close part of the Wall family and they were her support system her entire life. Ruth was hardworking and multi-talented, was employed in various jobs throughout her life and excelled at whatever she set her mind to.

Ruth was a determined individual, loved to cook, sew, knit, host family gatherings, garden, and was an accomplished carpenter. She loved fast cars and enjoyed playing the accordion and guitar, and hunt for treasures at antique stores. She taught Sunday school and successfully raised four beautiful daughters.

She is survived by her children, Corrinna Adams (Alan Kehler), Tyndall, MB; Beverley Adams, Fargo, ND; Pauline Adams (Sigmund Oiamo), Airdrie, AB; Denise Adams, Calgary, AB; four grandchildren, Jamie (Curtis), Cattiah, Gavin and Madison; one great-grandchild, Blake; and many nieces and nephews.

A ceremony to celebrate her life will be announced in the spring of 2020.
