Gisela Burchardt peacefully passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2019 at the age of 79.
She is lovingly remembered by her husband Wolfgang, daughters Annelene (Don) and Barbara (Phil), and her grandchildren Michael (Lindsay), Eric (Cassie), Jesse and Samantha. She was predeceased by her son Norman in 2018.
Gisela was born in Bochum, Germany on Jan. 21, 1940. She married Wolfgang on Dec. 22, 1959 and celebrated 60 years of marriage. They moved to Canada in 1963 and farmed in the Grunthal area for 37 years, retiring to Steinbach, MB in 1997. Mom was happiest tending to her family, her garden and her beloved flowers. She enjoyed cooking, playing cards and spending time with her family. Mom’s gentle soul and caring manner endeared her to all who met her.

The memorial service was held on Friday, Dec. 27 at 2 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB. Ash interment at Heritage Cemetery, Steinbach, MB.
