JAMES EDWARD TEMPLEMAN

May 19, 1931-Nov. 26, 2019

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of this wonderful man, adored by his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren alike. At 88 years of age, Dad’s progressive dementia slowly robbed him of his cherished memories. We know in our hearts he has them back now and is watching over us from above.

Dad was predeceased by his wife Elizabeth, parents Mary and George Templeman of Middlebro, MB and brother Joe.

He is lovingly remembered by his five children, Tim, Joe (Wendy), Jane (Taras), Susan (Clayton), and Selena; his nine grandchildren, Tim, Jackie, George, T.J., Zenon, Christie, Rory, Leesa and Skye; as well as his seven great-grandchildren, Mya, Josh, Madelyn, Evelyn, Sophia, Seeley and Hazel.

Dad grew up in Middlebro, MB where he met and married Mom, a local teacher. He worked for the Canadian National Railway for 35 years in Ontario and Manitoba as a laborer, then crew foreman and finished his career as a roadmaster, retiring in 1986.

Dad spent his retirement years with his companion Helen in Kenora, ON. They traveled to Arizona every fall through spring, enjoying friends and good times on the golf course in the beautiful warm weather.

Dad was such a fun-loving guy who loved nothing better than to go golfing, curling or play cribbage with family and friends. A tinkerer by nature, you could always find him in the garage or his garden working on a project.

We will miss your beautiful smile Dad; may you rest in peace.

The family wishes to thank the 3 East staff at Deer Lodge for caring for Dad with kindness, gentleness and patience. It was a great comfort to our family. A special thank you to Arlis Decorte who helped us navigate the challenges of advanced dementia.

A private family service will be held in the spring in Middlebro, MB where Dad and his brother Joe will be reunited with their mom and dad.
