Gertruda Penner, 74, of Grunthal, MB., passed away following a lengthy illness on Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2019 at Morris General Hospital, Morris, MB.
She is survived by five daughters, three sons, forty-four grandchildren and sixty-three great-grandchildren.
Gertruda was predeceased by her husband Erdman in 2011, one son and one great-grandson.
She loved to garden and did so as long as she was able. Gertruda also had a great love for animals.
A come and go viewing will take place on Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2019, from 7-8:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB.
The funeral service for Gertruda will take place on Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2019 at 2 p.m. at New Bothwell Sommerfeld Church, New Bothwell, MB. Burial will take place at the church cemetery following the service.
The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Greendale Estates in Grunthal and to the nurses and doctors at the Morris General Hospital.
Donations in Gertruda’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba.
