August 12, 1930 – August 6, 2019
It is with great sadness that the Gagnon family wishes to announce the passing of Alice Gagnon, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, on Tuesday, August 6, 2019, at the Bethesda Regional Health Centre, Steinbach, MB.
She leaves to mourn sons: Ernest (Linda), Jean (Barb), Marcel (Murielle), Paul (Cynthia), and Robert (Ginette), daughters Claire (Doug) and Lilianne (Dave), numerous grand children, great-grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
Alice was predeceased by her loving husband Leo, as well as by one sister and two brothers.
She was born in Mont Martre, Saskatchewan. Alice and Leo were married in St. Boniface Cathedral in 1951. They moved to La Broquerie in 1962, where they raised their family.
Alice's favorite pastime was cooking for her huge family, tending her garden in summer months and spending winters making quilts and knitting for everyone. Everything was always made with lots of love.
The family wishes to deeply thank the wonderful staff at Bethesda.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation.
The Mass of the Resurrection was held on, Saturday, August 10, 2019, at 11 a.m., at St. Joachim Catholic Parish, La Broquerie, MB. Burial took place at the parish cemetery.
