HERMAN F. ISAAC
October 1, 1921 - July 3, 2018
Herman F. Isaac was born to Jacob W. and Katharina Friesen on October 1, 1921 at Kleefeld, Manitoba, on the farm where he lived until his retirement. He peacefully passed away on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at the Maplewood Manor, Steinbach, MB, reaching 96 years of age.
He received his education at the Gruenfeld School in Kleefeld. He was baptized at 15 years of age into the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite. This faith was very precious to him.
He was united in marriage to Frieda Froese on June 15, 1947 in Swalwell, Alberta. They were blessed with 71 years of marriage. To this union were born eight sons and three daughters.
He was ordained to the deaconry on March 26, 1958. He served on numerous boards and was committed to his responsibilities.
Left with special memories are: his loving wife Frieda; their children: Murray, Leonard (Faith), Jenny Reimer, Paul, Maxine, Charles (Eileen), Randy (June), all of Kleefeld, Shirley (Cornelius Penner) of Berwick, Nova Scotia, Franklin (Sheila) and Bruce (Mylah) of Tatamagouche, Nova Scotia; twenty-three grandchildren; thirty-eight great-grandchildren; Cornelius’ family; one older sister Justina Braun; three sisters-in-law and one step-brother-in-law.
Preceding him in death, was one son Henry, forty years ago, one granddaughter and one son-in-law.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite in Kleefeld, with a viewing prior to the service.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Maplewood Manor for the loving care Dad received there.
