Peacefully on Sunday, Mar. 4, 2018 at the Vita District Health Centre in Vita, at the age of 94 years and 10 months, Tina Siemens passed away.
Tina leaves to mourn and cherish her memory her children, Dorothy (Harry), Edwin (Phyllis), Sarah (Pete), Alma (Ken), Judy, and foster son Greg (Cindy); 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; 35 great-great-grandchildren; and her sister, Trudy (Ken).
Mom was predeceased by her first husband Edward in 1997, her second husband Peter Siemens in 2003, one son-in-law, one step-grandchild, and her brothers Henry, Philip and Peter (in infancy).
Tina was a natural caregiver and loved being a foster parent. Besides being a wonderful, loving mother to her own children, she cared for and loved over 80 foster children throughout her life. She was also a babysitter in Grunthal and looked after many children there.
The family would like to thank the Vita Personal Care Home for their kind and compassionate care.
Funeral service was held on Friday, Mar. 9 at 11 a.m. at Korban Funeral Chapel, 245 Railway Ave, Vita, MB with Pastor Bill Nickel officiating. Interment followed in the Stuartburn Sommerfeld Mennonite Church Cemetery.
