Ferdinand Beno Sawatzky, age 93, of Steinbach, MB passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at Bethesda Regional Health Centre, Steinbach, MB.
He is survived by his wife Martha (nee Rempel), three daughters, two sons, 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by one sister, one brother, five sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law.
Ferdinand and Martha were married for 70 years. He was employed at Swifts for 27 years.
A “Come & Go” viewing was held on Sunday, March 4, 2018 from 7:00-8:30 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB.
The funeral service was held on Monday, March 5, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, with a viewing prior to the service. The interment will follow at Hespeler Cemetery, Niverville, MB.
If friends desire, donations in memory of Ferdinand may be made to the Canadian Foodgrains Bank, Box 767, Winnipeg, MB, R3C 2L4.
