JOHN GOERTZEN
April 10, 1935 - March 4, 2018
John Goertzen, peacefully passed away with his wife by his side on Sunday, March 4, 2018, at his residence in Steinbach, MB.
John is survived by his wife Agatha Goertzen, three daughters; Caroline, San-Dee, Rose, three sons; Daniel, Anthony, David, 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, three sons-in-law, two daughters-in-law and one to be, as well as two sisters.
He was predeceased by eight brothers and four sisters.
A come and go viewing for John Goertzen will be held on Sunday, March 11, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, Manitoba.
The funeral service for John will be held on Monday, March 12, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB with a private family interment to follow.
On behalf of the family we’d like to say a special thanks to Dr. Mark Duerksen of the Steinbach Family Medical Clinic, all the nurses and staff in the Southeastern Health, Palliative care and Home Care Unit.
As well as the family members, friends, nieces and nephews who called, came to visit, sent messages, texts, emails, and those who kept us in their thoughts and prayers.
