JACOB FALK
Dec. 18, 1926-July 6, 2017
Peacefully, on Thursday, July 6, 2017, Jacob W. Falk passed away at the Vita Personal Care Home, Vita, MB.
He leaves behind to mourn his wife of 66 years, Louise; son, Cliff (Eleanor); daughter, Dianne (Don); daughter-in-law, Jane; five grandchildren, Kristen, Curtis, Tiffany (Mike), Matthew (Sarah), Allana (Mario); and seven great-grandchildren. Dad will also be missed by his many relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by his son Larry on Aug. 10, 2006 and step-grandson Bradley Johnstone on July 5, 1997.
Dad was born the youngest of 11 children to Dave and Agatha Falk. He grew up on a farm near Landmark. On Oct. 14, 1951, he married Louise Schalla of the Rosengard area. They lived in Steinbach where they raised their three children, Larry, Cliff, and Dianne.
From a very young age, Dad loved to work and tinker with anything mechanical, especially cars. He was a very resourceful person and could fix almost anything which allowed him to help many people over the years. He spent most of his life as a mechanic, shop foreman, or salesman.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Vita Personal Care Home for their wonderful care of our dad over the last three years.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, July 11 at 2 p.m. at St Paul’s Lutheran Church in Steinbach, MB.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba.
