WALLY PAULS
May 31, 1928 – May 18, 2017
Wally Pauls passed away peacefully on May 18, 2017, at the Heritage Personal Care Home in Niverville, Manitoba, at the age of 88.
He was predeceased by his wife Catherine (nee Stoesz) on July 4, 2015.
He is survived by his four children: daughter Beverly, son Bob and Rachel, son Doug and Sherry, and daughter Bonny and Rick Friesen; ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Elsa and brother Ferd (Ruth) and brother-in-law John Sawatzky.
Dad’s love for Jesus Christ and the church led him to be active in the choirs and serving on the board as treasurer for many years. His career as a farmer/businessman resulted in many great lifelong friendships. He enjoyed travelling, hunting and fishing. He was also community minded, being involved with Town Council, the Niverville Fair and many charity groups. Above all, he always loved his family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family would like to express our gratitude to the staff of the Niverville Personal Care Home for the care given to our father.
The memorial service will be held Thursday, May 25, 2017, at 11:00 a.m., at the Fourth Avenue Bible Church, 62 Fourth Ave, Niverville, with a family interment at Hespeler Cemetery prior to the service.
Memorial donations in memory of Wally Pauls may be made to The Gideon’s or to the Heritage Life Personal Care Home – in memo line Palliative Care Program.
