JULIA DARLENE DOERKSEN
Jan. 4, 1953-Apr. 15, 2017
Julia Darlene Doerksen (nee Hildebrand) passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, on Saturday, Apr. 15, 2017.
She lived 64 wonderful years and is survived by her husband, Stan Doerksen; her three daughters and their families, Angela and Nevin Friesen, Amber and Noah; Michelle and Rob Giesbrecht, Lukas; Amy and Jean-Luc Ndahayo, James.
She is also survived by four brothers, four sisters and their families, Vic and Ruth Ann Hildebrand, Violet and Ron Koop, Arnold and Joanne Hildebrand, Ed and Jessie Hildebrand, Lydia and Menno Plett, Elnora and Edwin Wiebe, Roy and Lynne Hildebrand, Sharon Hildebrand and Bill Rambo. She will be dearly missed by the Doerksen family and many Hildebrand and Doerksen nieces and nephews, as well as many friends.
Julia was predeceased by her parents John and Elsie Hildebrand, and her brother Johnny Hildebrand.
We are joyful in knowing that she is in a wonderful place free from pain and sorrow. She is now doing all of her favourite things – dancing, singing and praising the Lord in Heaven.
Special thanks to the medical staff at Bethesda Hospital, Health Sciences Centre and the staff at Birchwood Funeral Chapel. Additional thanks to all the friends and family for their support during this difficult time.
A meet and greet the family will be held on Wednesday, Apr. 19 at 6:30 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, Apr. 20 at 11 a.m. at the Prairie Rose EMC, Landmark, with interment at the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Julia may be made to Prairie Rose EMC youth missionaries or The Liver Foundation.
