It is with heavy hearts that the family announce the passing of Harvey Alvin Neufeld, beloved husband of Carol Faith Neufeld, at AgeCare Valleyview, on Monday, March 27, 2017 at the age of 72 years.
Harv was born in Winnipeg, MB., and raised in Niverville, MB. He married Carol Faith Rempel at the Elmwood Mennonite Brethren Church in Winnipeg on July 27, 1968. Harv worked the majority of his life in agricultural construction sales. He was eternally optimistic and never gave up on any venture that he pursued. Harv’s glass was always half full. He spent many hours gardening and landscaping, grooming the yard to its full potential. Harv took every opportunity to participate in choirs and perform music with his daughters. He enjoyed sports, whether playing hockey or golf, or watching football, hockey or curling.
Harv was very proud of the accomplishments of his children and grandchildren. Grandpa / Opa was always there to support and cheer them on. Harv’s memory will be forever treasured in the hearts of his wife, Carol; daughters Deanna (Rev. Jonathan) Blanchard and Heather (Terry) Holick; grandchildren Samantha (Jerome) Falk, Timothy Blanchard and Ethan Holick; siblings Eleanor (Al) Hamm, Marlene (Harold) Warkentin, Ernie (Dianne) Neufeld, Jake Neufeld, Bev (Fred) Dyck, and Robert Neufeld; sisters-in-law, Janice (John) Laturnus, Darlene (Fred) Meinzer, Olive Neufeld and numerous nieces and nephews.
Harvey was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Mary Neufeld; brother, Wilmer Neufeld; in-laws, Daniel & Irene Rempel.
Funeral services will be announced at a later date, which will be posted to the Cook Southland website.
