JOHN SOBERING
June 26, 1926 – February 19, 2017
John Sobering, 90, of Steinbach, MB, formerly of Zhoda, MB, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 19, 2017 at Rest Haven Nursing Home in Steinbach.
He is survived by his two children: Ivan (Rose) Sobering and Sonia (Norm) Dycke, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by three brothers, one sister and their families, two daughters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his wife Olga, his parents Henry and Helena, two sons, one daughter, one daughter-in-law, seven brothers, two sisters and one son-in-law.
John spent the majority of his years residing and working his farm in Zhoda. His greatest loves in his life were and will always be, his wife Olga, his family and his farm.
He will truly be missed.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 26, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB.
If friends so desire, donations in memory of John may be made to Alzheimer’s Society of Manitoba, Winnipeg, MB.
