DAVID NEUFELD
May 21, 1940 – January 22, 2017
David Wiebe Neufeld, after a very brave battle with cancer, passed away peacefully at the age of 76, with his wife by his side, on Sunday, January 22, 2017.
As an accomplished musician, he played violin, guitar, and accordian and loved playing music. He was happiest fishing, doing crossword puzzles and being with friends, family, and his beloved dogs. He never lost his silly sense of humour. A kinder man you will not meet.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Betty, son Kevin and daughter Peggy, brothers: Aaron, Abe (Eunice), Ed (Frieda), Harry, Herman (Helen) and sisters: Agatha (John) and Katherine (Jake).
He was predeceased by his father, mother, brothers: John, Ben, Neil, Jake, Pete, and George and sisters Helen and Maria.
A small private funeral service, by invitation only, will be held on Sunday, January 29, 2017, at 2:00 p.m., at Birchwood Funeral Chapel with an interment at Randolph Cemetery, Randolph, MB.
Thank you to the nurses who took care of him these difficult months. It was truly appreciated.
A special heartfelt thank you to Dr. Earle at Bethesda Regional Health Centre for the deep concern and care she showed Dave during his final week. Dave's wife and children are so deeply moved by how much compassion you gave, your words and efforts this past week will stay with us forever.
Thank you to all of the dear friends and relatives for their comforting support given to us during this terribly sad time. It is difficult to find the words to express our gratitude. The time you spent with Dave did wonders for him and meant the world to him and us.
