March 27, 1957 – January 19, 2017
William (Bill) Chopyk, after a courageous battle with cancer, passed away with his mother at his side on Thursday, January 19, 2017, at the Bethesda Regional Health Centre, Steinbach, MB.
Bill’s early childhood years were spent on the family farm at Zhoda, MB and for the last 23 years in Marchand, MB.
He was predeceased by the love of his life Eve Gauthier in May of 2016.
He is survived by: his loving mother Ruth Chopyk, his three brothers: James (Marie) Chopyk, Thomas Chopyk, and Robin Chopyk; two sisters Mrs. Kim Schiller and Shannon Chopyk; nieces: Leslie Schiller, Chantel Chopyk, and Samantha Chopyk; nephews: Mathew Schiller and Tyronne Chopyk and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Bill worked in the heavy construction industry for many years until he became ill with his cancer.
Cremation has taken place and there will be no formal funeral service.
