Leonard K Plett (LKP) was born June 7, 1932 at home, the sixth child of Elizabeth Kroeker and Cornelius Plett.
He was the father of Corallee (Murray Klassen), Robert (Hilda) and Curtis (Dolores). He was Opa to Heidi (Chris Martens), Kevin (Lauren Klippenstein), Benjamin (Jessica Hamm), Laura and Emily and Great Opa to Jace Klassen and Ezra Klassen.
Leonard accepted Jesus as his Lord and Saviour as a young man and was baptized at the Prairie Rose EMC where he was a lifelong member.
In 2001, Leonard retired from farming and moved to Landmark. In April of 2016, he suffered a fall and a broken hip from which he never fully recovered and he spent the rest of his time at the Rehab in Bethesda Hospital. It was our joy that we could bring him home and spend Christmas together with him this past Christmas Eve.
Leonard suffered a heart attack on Christmas Day and the next day he went home to be with his Lord. We, as his family, are so very grateful for the wonderful care that he received in the Rehab.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, December 30, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Prairie Rose EMC in Landmark, MB, with the interment to follow at the church cemetery. Viewing will be prior to the service.
