Eva was born to Emery and Violet (Toews) Tetreault on March 27, 1974 at Bethesda Hospital in Steinbach, MB. She was the oldest of two girls. She passed away peacefully with aunt Sara and some dear friends by her side on November 24, 2016 after a battle of cancer. She reached the age of 42.
Eva’s growing up years were spent in the Greenland Community. Eva’s Mom Violet passed away when Eva was 3 years of age, which left her and her sister without a mother at a very young age. The next few years the sisters were cared for by their grandparents. In 2008, the girls lost their father. Eva moved to Steinbach, and spent the rest of her growing up years living in the area.
In March of 2002, Eva got married to Jim Peters from Steinbach. After a short marriage of 13 months, she moved to Winnipeg where she mostly resided until her passing. Eva was a normal girl, even if she had challenges at different times in her life.
Eva had a love of cats, and stuffed animals. The last week she made a special effort to make amends, and clear her way with different friends, and we believe she is resting with God. She leaves to mourn her sister Cindy and husband Greg and nephews: Chater, Dakota, Montana and niece Lexi, in Swan River, MB. Her aunts Martha, Evelyn, Edna, Linda and Glady’s from Steinbach, MB; her aunt Sara from Winnipeg, MB; three uncles: Jim, Carl and Elmer from Steinbach, MB; her special cousins Alvin and Marlene Toews from Greenland, MB; who did a lot for Eva thru the years, visiting her, and driving her to appointments etc. Her friends Richard from Winnipeg, MB; and many friends and acquaintances whom she got to know through her life.
A special thanks to those who went to spend time with her in her last month at Health Sciences Centre. The care she received was excellent!
She was predeceased by her parents and grandparents.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 162 Hwy 52 W, Steinbach, MB.
