Stanley Wade Bender of Woodmore, MB, passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2016, at the age of 1 year, 8 months, 19 days.
He was born March 4, 2015 to Nevin and Jenny (Brandt) Bender.
He brought much joy and happiness to his family. Even though he will be missed, we rejoice with him that he no longer needs to struggle to breathe.
Left to grieve his passing are his parents, Nevin and Jenny; four sisters and one brother: Darla, Doria, Royal, Elsie, and Dixie; grandparents, Tom and Linda Bender, of Kippen, ON; and Don and Dorcas Brandt of Tolstoi, MB; great-grandparents, Merlin and Erma Bender of Kippen, ON; Orpha Wadel of Kippen, ON; Eddie Brandt of Arborg, MB; Joanne Zimmerman of Unity, WI; as well as numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins. He will also be greatly missed by everyone of the Borderview congregation as well as others who knew him.
The funeral service was held Tuesday, November 29, 2016, 10:00 a.m. at the Reinland Mennonite Church in Grunthal, with interment at the Borderview Cemetery.
The family wishes to thank each one who offered encouragement, support, and the many prayers on their behalf. Special acknowledgement to those who helped care for the ones at home while Stanley was in Health Sciences Centre and those who cared for him in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).
