GEORGE DUECK
February 3, 1925 - October 22, 2016
George Dueck, age 91, of Niverville, MB, passed away peacefully in the arms of his Saviour on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at the Victoria General Hospital, Winnipeg, MB.
He is survived by his beloved wife Elizabeth (Unger) and their children: Charles (Joanne), Norman (Pauline), Noreen (Bruce), Judi (John), and Paul (Maribel), six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren, as well as five sisters.
He was predeceased by one sister in 2015.
Dad worked at many occupations including the poultry processing plant, and The Minute Hand clock shop, both in Niverville. He was a faithful member of the church and of the Gideons, spreading the Gospel throughout southern Manitoba.
Special thanks to the doctors and staff at the Victoria Hospital for your care in the last weeks of Dad's life.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 28, 2016 from 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. at the Silver Courts, 200-2nd Avenue, Niverville, MB.
Interment will be on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. at Hespeler Cemetery in Niverville, MB, followed by the memorial service at 11:00 a.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 162 Hwy 52W, Steinbach, MB.
If friends so desire, donations in his memory may be made to The Gideons International.
