ALLAN THOMAS BEDFORD SLUTE
November 23, 1939 - June 25, 2016

Allan Thomas Bedford Slute passed away peacefully at Bethesda Hospital on Saturday, June 25, 2016 in Steinbach, Manitoba, at the age of 76.

Allan is survived by: his wife Virginia Slute, children: Sylvia Hrabchak (Garry), Angela Slute (Jake), Laura Lee Slute (Tim), Sherry Broesky (Neil), Dale (Jane), Rosanna Stadnyk (Chris), Amanda Hartnell (Rory), and Calvin (Dailyn); grandchildren: Alexandra, Trevor and Dustin Broesky, Owen, Melony and Meadow Stadnyk, Garrett and Wesley Hrabchak, Trentin and Opal Hiebert, and Ashley Hartnell; sisters: Margaret Monk and Shirley Trollope and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents William and Opal Slute, his daughter Lisa Parsons, grandson Tyler Broesky, and sister Sheila Svoboda.

Allan was born on November 23, 1939 in Morden, MB. He was the youngest of four children and was raised on a farm in Darlingford, MB. He moved to a mixed farm in Poplar Point in 1963, where he farmed with his parents. He married Virginia Grain on August 1, 1964. In Poplar Point they had six children. They bought a hog farm in La Broquerie in 1977. Allan started driving long distance in 1979. The family moved to present home in La Broquerie in 1980. There they had three more children and he continued to pursue his interest in farming. He started his own trucking company, Rambling Rose Trucking in 2005 and drove across Canada and the United States. He was proud to provide a good living for his family; they were the most important thing to him. He cherished time spent with all of them.

His caring spirit, love and guidance will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Birchwood Funeral Chapel 162 Hwy 52 W,, Steinbach, MB, with a reception to follow. All are welcome to attend and celebrate.

If friends so desire, donations in memory of Allan may be made to World Vision Canada.
