HERMINE MOQUIN
It is with sadness that we announce the death of Hermine on Sunday, Apr. 10, 2016. She was born on June 5, 1934 in Aubigny, MB, daughter of Pierre Hébert and Marguerite Massinon, the oldest of the family so she had to help out at a very young age. Mr Hébert already had three sons from a previous marriage. She started working in Winnipeg where she met her spouse, Joseph Moquin. They were married June 6, 1953. They lived in Winnipeg for a few years and then in Ile des Chênes until they bought the hotel in La Broquerie. When they sold the hotel they continued living in La Broquerie. Their only son Martin was born Dec. 4, 1963.
Through her life she was a great help to all who needed her, and later she started working as a home care worker and thus helped several families. Sometimes she even had to travel out of town, but she was always happy to serve her clients the best she could.
She is survived by her son Martin and his wife Roxane and seven grandchildren: Christopher and his wife Golda, Michel, Roger, Patrick, Nicole, and Nöel. She also leaves behind her three sisters: Yvette Leclair, Simone (Abe) Elias, and Diane (William) Johnson. She was predeceased by six brothers: André, Antoine, Jean-Paul, Norbert, Maurice and Roger; and by her sisters, Juliette and Madeleine.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, Apr. 22, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy #1 East at Navin Road, Winnipeg.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to help the family with funeral expenses.
