Peacefully on March 23, 2016, Maxine Gruenke, of Winnipeg, passed away at Victoria Hospital.
She is survived by her loving husband Gordon Thiessen; her mother Emma Gruenke; a stepdaughter and her husband; a stepdaughter-in-law; aunts Bernice, Dorothy, Ida, Linda, and Martha; and numerous step-grandchildren and great step-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her father Alfred Gruenke, and a stepson.
Maxine was born in Altona, MB in 1950. All her life she kept in touch with much of her family, including numerous cousins. She had 11 step-grandchildren and 6 step-great grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Thank you to the doctors and nurses at Victoria Hospital for their special care.
Donations can be made to Cancer Care Manitoba in Maxine’s memory.
Memorial Service 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 14, 2016, at Springs Church, 725 Lagimodiere Blvd., interment at a later date in Morris, MB.
