Cornelius Wiens, age 94, of Vita, MB, formerly of Steinbach, MB, passed away on February 27, 2016, at the Vita Personal Care Home.
Cornie Wiens was born April 5, 1921. He married Mary Blatz March 30, 1943. They shared their marriage life of 69 years together. Six children were born to this union.
He was predeceased by his wife Mary in 2011, son Rodney in 2012 and wife Annie in 2008, son Roy 2013, son-in-law Gary Lyman.
He is survived by two sons: Larry and Allen (Joan); two daughters: Tracy Mary Ann Lyman and Betty Dol Wiens; daughter-in-law Bibs Wiens; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; many in-laws, and nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2016, at 11:00 a.m., at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB, with a viewing prior to the service. The burial will take place at the Heritage Cemetery, Steinbach, MB.
