LEANNE JEANNE GERMAIN
December 7, 1992 - February 23, 2016

It is with great sorrow and sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Leanne Jeanne Germain at the Victoria General Hospital on February 23, 2016 at the young age of 23.

Leanne is survived by her twin sister Laura, mother Linda (Phil), father Murray, her pride and joy, nephew Jaxon, step-brother Erik (Hayley), grandparents Peter & Ann, grandmother Jeanne, cousins Becky (Maurice), Steph (Pat), Tanya (Blaine), Kevin (Leanne), and all their families, Josh, Daniel (Cassandra), Taylor (Cody), Andrew, Reid, Kyle, and many cherished aunts and uncles from both the Germain and the Kyrzyk families. She also leaves behind her godparents, Randy Kyrzyk & Annie Hildebrandt as well as two very special men in her life, Jody Wiebe & Guillaume Parent. She was predeceased by her grandfather, William Germain and her great grandmother, Helen Chubey.

Leanne was born on December 7, 1992 at the tiny weight of 3lbs 5oz in Winnipeg, MB to proud parents Linda & Murray. She spent the first part of her life growing up in Tolstoi, MB where she attended Schevchenko School in Vita, MB and spent many summers at the lake in St. Malo, MB. At the age of 7, she moved to Winnipeg where she attended Birds Hill School, Robert Andrews School and Miles Mac Collegiate where she graduated in 2010. Leanne had a vibrant passion for life, always trying new things but she especially enjoyed spending time with her countless groups of friends, many of whom considered her their best friend. Post graduation, her ability to brighten people's day led Leanne to her love for serving and bartending. For the past several years, Leanne worked at Jeffrey's Restaurant & Lounge where she found her second family of coworkers and regulars that she truly loved. Her beautiful smile and giggly personality will be dearly missed by everyone who was lucky enough to know her.

Please join us for a celebration of Leanne's life at the Transcona Country Club, 2070 Dugald Road on Thursday, March 3, 2016 with a service starting at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Victoria General Hospital Foundation (Darlene Williams Comfort Room) or the Children's Wish Foundation. To honour Leanne, we encourage everyone to register to be an organ donor at www.transplantmanitoba.ca. The family would like to thank all the first responders as well as the staff at Concordia Hospital, Victoria General Hospital, St. Boniface Hospital as well as Health Sciences Centre. A special thank you to the Transplant Manitoba Gift of Life Program which enabled Leanne to change the lives of six families.
