MARGARET WOLFE
October 27, 1922 - February 26, 2016

Margaret Reimer Wolfe was born to Peter & Olga Reimer, October 27, 1922 and lived to be 93 years. She passed away peacefully February 26, 2016 at Bethesda Place in Steinbach which was her home for the last two years.

She was predeceased by her husband Peter Wolfe, her daughter Nettie Peters, son Jack Wolfe, son-in-law Jake Peters, grandsons-in-law Vic Krahn and Garry Dueck and brothers Peter Reimer and Isaac Reimer.

She is survived by her daughter Mary (Bill) Peters and their children Cheryl, David (Lorna) and Tamara (Tony). Her son Larry (Sarah) Wolfe and their children Cindy (Dennis), Amanda (Graham) and Brad (Stephanie). Nettie (Jake) Peters children Wes (Johanna), Reg (Elaine), Tracey (Jonathon) and Jennifer (Kelsey). Daughter-in-law Lesa (Jack) Wolfe and her children Alanna (Tony), Sharon (Justin) and Jared (Tracy). Thirty-two great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. Her brother Diedrich (Sara) Reimer, sister Helen (Isaac) Wolfe and brother John (Agatha) Reimer.

In her younger years, mom enjoyed having her grandchildren over. Many sleep overs were held and the kids always had so much fun at grandma and grandpa Wolfe’s house. She loved to prepare food for her family and always made sure that there was plenty and that nobody left without an overfull belly. She taught Kindergarten and Sunday School for many years and attended many home Bible studies. She loved to sew blankets for MCC, garden and bless others with her produce.

Mom faced many trials in her life having lost her mother at age 8 and many others in her family over the years. After dad passed away she became very independent. She learned to drive, sold her house, built a new home and became very attentive at handling her finances, diligently writing out Christmas cheques for all of her grandchildren. She was the Proverbs 31 women! “She opened her arms to the poor and extended her hands to the needy”

She lived in her own home until she was 89 years old. Although she found it difficult to leave her home to move into supportive housing and later Bethesda Place, she did adjust and become very content and peaceful. She had a terrific sense of humor and loved to laugh. It was a joy to see her with a smile on her face. We are sincerely grateful for all who cared for mom over the past four years at Greendale, Cedarwood and Bethesda Place.

Our memories will be treasured forever.
