KENNETH ISAAC

Kenneth Isaac was born on August 10, 1957, in Steinbach, MB, to Klaas and Lena Isaac. He passed away after a brief illness, on January 19, 2016, reaching the age of "well you know?", 58 years.

Left to cherish his memory are: Willard and Tina of Kleefeld, MB; Lorna of Steinbach, MB; Leana of Grunthal, MB; Russ and Angela of Steinbach, MB; his nieces and nephews: Sharon, Gerald & Annetta, Benjamin, Amy, Julie, Shana & Ryan and Bentley; plus uncles and aunts, and many cousins, friends and coworkers.

Kenneth lived with Dad and Mom until Dad passed away, then with Mom until June, 2007, when Willard and Tina took over that responsibility. Then on May 19, 2015, Russ and Angela took over.

Kenneth worshipped God from his heart. He loved going to the Church of God in Christ Mennonite and Springs Church in Winnipeg. He loved to sing praise & worship songs and his voice was distinct and often rose above the rest.

He was employed at Kindale Occupational Centre for 10 years. He then was employed at Eastman Recycling for 24 years. He loved his job at Eastman Recycling. It was not just a job to Kenneth. . . it was his life! Kenneth experienced all the different changes at Eastman Recycling over the years because he was there right from the start.

Kenneth loved meeting people; greeting strangers and acquaintances alike with a smile and a "how are you today?" Once the greetings passed and turned to deep conversation, he moved to the next room.

Kenneth loved driving his Farmal A tractor, riding his bike, hammering nails, sweeping the shop floor, gathering firewood, playing with Adrian and Jamin, auctions and auctioneering, leading prayer, singing, preaching, helping with chores, skating, playing hockey and fishing on a boat. More importantly he loved to catch fish. During his fishing trips this past summer, he was the one who caught the biggest fish each time. While playing hockey you would often hear him shout, "penalty"! He never did master stopping and just kept gliding until he slowed down enough and stopped, or banged into something. He was a very tidy man, liked having tools organized, cleaned up papers and figured a good place to put them (in the garbage can of course).

Kenneth related best with teenage young men and you would often find him sitting on the youth bench.

Kenneth's popular sayings were: "You'll miss me!", "I worked hard today!" and "How are you today?" If you asked him how old he was, he would respond by asking, "how old are you?" or "take a guess?" or "what do you think?". He often repeated a question back to you.

The world lost but Heaven gained the most unconditionally loving, forgiving endlessly, the truest "people person" and happiest person in the world.

You brought so much joy and laughter to our lives. We love you and you were right Kenneth, you will be missed.

We want to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to: the team at Envision, Eastman Recycling for the place where Kenneth could find fulfilment in their group, to the congregation for their support and acceptance of Kenneth, to the staff at ER at Bethesda, and ER and staff at St Boniface Hospital for doing their best for Kenneth in his brief illness. He would say "That's awesome".

The viewing will be held on Sunday, January 24, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 162 Hwy 52 W., with a program at 7:30 p.m.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, January 25, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Kleefeld Church of God in Christ Mennonite, 216 Provincial Route, Kleefeld, MB., with a viewing prior to the service. The burial will follow at the church cemetery.
