ORIL CHARETTE
December 19, 1932 – December 22, 2015

It is with great sadness the children of Oril announce his peaceful passing on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at Ste. Anne Hospital, Ste. Anne, MB.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Cheryl (Phil), Donna (Dennis), Darlene (Walter), Shelley (Andy), and Brenda and his beloved sons Larry (Marlene), Rick, Dale (Sandra) and his beloved "chien" Corky.

Pepere was loved and will be sorely missed by 20 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. Dad will also be sadly missed by his brother Allan, and sisters Rolande and Edith. He was predeceased by his loving wife Hilda, his parents, three brothers, one sister and two grandsons.

Dad was born in La Rochelle, Manitoba. At 14 years old Dad left home and ventured to Woodridge to find work. Dad successfully found work in the logging industry and also found the love of his life Hilda. Dad and Mom married, setting down roots and making Woodridge their lifelong home where they would work and raise their family.

Although Dad was a quiet and private man he had many passions such as, his family, hunting, fishing, camping at Moose Lake, the Morris Stampede, and road trips to Alberta visiting his cousins. Dad also loved trucking which he made his career of. Dad appreciated the visits he received and always made everyone feel welcome in his home.

The family would like to thank the staff of Ste. Anne Hospital for the care they have given Dad. As per Dad's wishes, cremation has taken place.

A private family memorial has been planned. Interment will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Oril may be made to the Parkinson's Society Manitoba, 7 - 414 Westmount Drive, Winnipeg, MB, R2J 1P2.
