December 17, 1963- December 10, 2015
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear wife, mother, and grandmother, Marlene Bourrier of La Broquerie, MB, on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at the age of 51 years old. She fought a courageous battle with cancer, and will be deeply missed by her loved ones.
Marlene is survived by her beloved husband Albert, and their five children;
Dina(Jordan) Park, Joel (Jessica), Colin, Randy, Travis; Eight grandchildren; Makaela, Averi, Tara, Andrew, Bryson, Riley ( Jordan and Dina), Dexter, Maisie (Joel and Jessica); mother and step-father; Marion and Reynold Balcaen and her siblings; Neal Meurrens, Sandra(Roy) Manke, Sheldon(Eloisa) Balcaen.
She was predeceased by her father Clifford Meurrens.
Marlene was a woman with a heart full of love for her family and cherished them dearly. In the summer months you would often find her gardening in one of her many flower beds, and the grandchildren loved to follow alongside their Grammy. She lived a life of love, serving our Lord, and taking care of her family. Our Lord and Savior has now called her home, we will cherish her as she did us, in our hearts forever.
The memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel at Southland Church, Steinbach, MB. The interment will follow at a later date.
