HERMAN KASPER
September 4, 1938 - November 26, 2015

Herman George Kasper passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 26, 2015, at the Bethesda Regional Health Centre, in Steinbach, with his wife at his side.

He is survived by his wife Valerie, one son Shane and wife Rhonda, and one daughter Amber, her husband Glen Friesen and their children Taylor, Morgan and Grayson.

Dad spent his career as a bookkeeper. His jobs included places such as Reimer Agencies, C.T. Loewen and Sons, the Steinbach Credit Union and the last 20 years of his career were spent at the Steinbach Regional Secondary School. He retired in May of 2001.

He enjoyed his retirement travelling to numerous places with his wife such as Cuba, Jamaica, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, and Branson, Missouri.

Dad was a huge supporter of his grandkids in their many sports activities such as competitive swimming, ringette, hockey, softball, baseball and soccer.

Dad spent many years of his life volunteering in their Church and for other organizations including Meals on Wheels and The Mennonite Heritage Village Museum. Dad had a heart for serving others and he was a friendly face and joyful servant wherever he went.

Words cannot express how deeply we will miss our husband, father, and grandfather who lived a simple, yet extraordinary life in the lives of those he touched.

The memorial service will be held on Monday, November 30, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel. The ash interment will take place prior to the service.
