On Wednesday, October 14, 2015, Mary Prokipchuk (nee Tymkiw) passed away peacefully at the Vita Hospital, at the age of 74.
She is survived by: her loving husband Walter, her brother Walter Tymkiw (Rose), her sister Theresa Yawney, sisters-in-law: Mary Homeniuk, Ollie Boyer, and Allison Boyko; brother-in-law Peter Janzen, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Mary was predeceased by her parents Nick and Hafia, brother Alec, and sisters Olga Janzen and Teenie Kiss.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, October 19, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 162 Hwy 52 West, Steinbach, MB, with Rev. Father Miron Pozniak officiating.
Interment will follow at St. Michael Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery in Gardenton, MB.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mary may be made to Canadian Cancer Society.
The family wishes to thank the doctors and nursing staff for their compassionate care during Mary's stay at the Vita Hospital.
