DOROTHY JANE MCLACHLAN

Dorothy Jane McLachlan, aged 98, of Steinbach, MB, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 17, 2015 at Bethesda Place, Steinbach, MB.

She is survived by her children: Dianne (Richard), Jack (Jess), Allen (Lorette) and Joan (Dominic); her grandchildren: Mark (Tracey), Michael (Tammy), Kevin (Lori), Tricia (Dave), Darryl (Kristen), Doug (Bailey), Davey (Chloe), Dylan, Danny (Natalie), Michelle (Andrew) and Andre (Julie); and her great-grandchildren: Erick, Amber, Tanner, Kalie, Joseph, Alyssa, John, Jordan, Brianna, Parker, Bentley, Kenzie, Sydney, Zach, Kacey, Allison, Rylan and Blake.

Dorothy was predeceased by her loving husband, Daniel Aubrey in 1987 and their infant daughter in 1946.

She was born in Winnipeg and raised on a family farm in Vivian, MB, with her parents, Stephen and Minnie Marshall and her six brothers: Jack, Charlie, Bob, Art, Jim and Ken.

Mom and Dad were married in July of 1940 and after Dad came back from overseas in 1945, they moved to Winnipeg to raise their family and eventually to Randolph, MB for their retirement in 1975.

Mom enjoyed gardening and cooking holiday meals for her family, but she was most happy spending time with and playing with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by many.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 21, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. George’s Anglican Church, 321 Pandora Ave. W., Winnipeg, MB. Interment will follow immediately after at Transcona Cemetery, followed by a light lunch at the Transcona Legion, 117 Regent Avenue East, Winnipeg.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba.
