DAVID LAWRENCE NEUFELD

It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to David Lawerance Neufeld who passed away in a tragic accident on Thursday, June 18, 2015. He was born on August 9th, 1955 to William and Mary Neufeld. He was predeceased by his son Ryan Neufeld, and his twin brother Dan Neufeld.

David Neufeld was known by all for his love. He was the very best friend to his wife Kathy Neufeld who he loved with all his heart. He loved to spend time with her and everybody knew that she was his “sweety.” He was known for his love for his family. He would spend weeks each year hunting elk, deer and bear with his boys. He loved quading and fishing with his children. He was always looking for ways to bless his kids in any way that he could. He was a very loving father.

David was also known for his love for life and for practical jokes. David was the first one to jump at the opportunity to pull a prank, and to make people laugh. He seized every opportunity he had to live life to the fullest. He loved to take his wife on his Harley motorbike, ride horseback with his kids, and if you ever dared visit their house in the summer you might just find yourself tossed into the pool by Dave as he laughed with joy.

David was known for his love for people. He was incredibly generous and would help absolutely anybody whenever he could. He would visit you in the hospital, bring you food when you were hungry, find you a job when you needed one or just spend time with you when you needed. He could always be counted on to be there for you when life knocked you down and would be the first to pick you up and brush you off. He was a friend to everybody.

David was most known by for his love for God. He spent nearly 30 years pastoring the Abundant Life Fellowship in Grunthal Manitoba. For those who knew Dave they knew a man who was overflowing with love, joy, and peace in all circumstances. Dave loved to tell people that all he had and all he was he owed to Jesus Christ. Today, Dave Neufeld is dancing with a new body and his son Ryan in heaven. We know he hoped to one day dance and celebrate with all of friends in heaven. He will be missed by everybody who knew him.

The funeral service was held on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Southland Church, Steinbach, MB. The burial took place at the Grunthal Cemetery, Grunthal, MB.
