Peter D. Friesen 72, of Steinbach, went to be with his Lord on Sunday morning, May 10, 2105 at Bethesda Hospital, Steinbach, MB with Edna and sister-in-law Joanne by his side.
Leaving behind to cherish his memory are: his loving wife Edna of 47 years, his loving son Darryl and grandchildren Brooklyn and Race; sister Anne and her friend Leonard, nephew Ivan Wiebe, nieces Ellen McKellar and Phyllis Sally; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Evelyn and Ken Ratzlaff, Susie and Dave Hiebert, Dionna Hill, Elma Elkiw, Betty and Leo Dumont, Abe and Tina Dyck, Peter and Julie Dyck, Brian and Linda Dyck, Barb and Kevin Wilgosh, Joanne Friesen, Linda Dyck and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by: his parents Abram & Magaretha Friesen, second mom Aganetha Friesen, sister Helen Wiebe, brothers-in-law Henry S. Wiebe, Isaac Dyck, niece Judy Rowdon, parents-in-law Abram and Susie Dyck, and brothers-in-law Brian Dudar, Pierre Brémaud and Jake Toews.
The viewing will be held on Friday, May 15, 2015 at 7:00 p.m., with a devotional at 7:30 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 162 Hwy 52 W. Steinbach, MB, There will be a viewing at the chapel prior to the funeral service.
The Celebration of Peter’s Life will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel with burial to follow at Heritage Cemetery, Steinbach, MB.
