DORIS WIEBE
Doris Wiebe (Cure) of Cawston, BC, formerly of St. Malo, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2015 at Penticton General Hospital with her husband by her side. Doris fought a brief but courageous battle against cancer. She will be sadly missed by her loving husband, Henry; her daughter Sandra (Jeff) of Winnipeg, MB, and her son, Norman (Michele) of Cold Lake, AB; her 3 grandchildren, Justin (Bree), Amy, and Jordan as well as her mother-in-law, Mary Weber. She also leaves to survive: her sister, Armande (Gus) Picton; her brothers, Gilbert (Vicky) Cure, Paul (Maryanne) Cure, Denis Cure, Fernand Cure, brothers-in-law Francois Encontre, Ernest Dueck, Nick Chubaty, sister-in-law Ethel Cure, brothers-in-law, Pete Wiebe, Jake (Debbie) Wiebe, Willy Wiebe, John Wiebe, sister-in-law, Mary (Bob) Beacham as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Doris was predeceased by her parents, Georges and Josephine, 5 sisters (Henriette, Gertrude, Yvette, Rose, Diane) and 4 brothers (Robert, Henri, Andre, Philippe), and her father in law, Henry D. Wiebe.
Doris and Henry moved to BC in 1992 where they worked the flea market circle. Doris enjoyed baking for the flea markets especially the cookies and pies. She was teased over the years about not being able to boil water when she first got married but she sure turned that around! Doris loved visits with her children and grandchildren as well as with other family members.
Cremation has taken place and no service will be held at this time. If friends so desire, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
