Elizabeth Gushulak of Vita, MB passed away quietly, on February 23, 2015, at Bethesda Regional Health Centre, in Steinbach, MB.
She was predeceased by: her parents Danylo and Maria Semeniuk; her husband Michael; three sisters: Linda, Ann, and Darlene; one brother Johnny and her nephew Lenny.
She is survived by her three sons: Michael (Mary), Jeffrey (Beverley) and Travis; grandchildren: Justin, Cody, Peter, Shawn, and Sherrie; her two brothers Steve, and William (Josephine); and seven sisters: Evelyn (Maurice), Ollie, Alice (Gerry), Ellen (Len), Phyllis (Fred), Terry (Christian) and Jacquie (Wayne).
Liz was born in Sundown, MB. Later she moved to Winnipeg, where she raised her children. She worked at the University of Manitoba and retired to Vita where she enjoyed her time outdoors. Liz loved to spend time reading, gardening, doing puzzles, walking and cuddling with her cat. She also enjoyed the company of her family and friends who will miss her dearly.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nursing staff at Bethesda Regional Health Care Center for their compassionate care and kindness.
A celebration of Liz’s life will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 162 Hwy. 52 West Steinbach, MB. An Ash Interment will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Southern Health-Santé Sud (Bethesda Regional Health Centre/Palliative Care Program), Box 470, La Broquerie, MB R0A 0W0, in memory of Elizabeth Gushulak.
