DENIS ALBERT JOSEPH LEVESQUE
November 15, 1953 – September 26, 2014
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our husband, father, and grandfather. Denis was born on November 15, 1953 to Pierette and George Levesque in Winnipeg, MB. Dad passed away peacefully on September 26, 2014, at home with his loving wife and family by his side, at the age of 60.
Denis will be missed and forever remembered by his wife of 40 years, Marilyn (Schalla), his children Lynette (Craig), Bobby (Vicki), Patty (JR), and his grandchildren: Zack, Mikyla, Bentley, Brea, Tristen and Monroe; his siblings: Gerry, Rick (Tara), Karen (Rick), Cindy and their families, along with many extended family and friends.
He was predeceased by sister Janice, and his parents Pierette and George.
Dad worked many years as an electrician, the past two years he has been proudly working along side his son and best friend as a project manager, estimator. Denis loved curling and golfing, and recently enjoyed being a devoted Jets fan. Dad was an intelligent man who lived to work, with many creative ideas always ahead of the times.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Patrick Fredette for his exceptional care and support, as well as the many home care workers, and palliative care nurse Bridgette.
Memorial service for Denis will be held on Friday, October 3rd, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with a slideshow presentation starting at 1:30 p.m. at Ste. Anne Roman Catholic Church. Ash interment will follow at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Hwy 12, R.M. of Hanover, Manitoba.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Denis to The Children’s Hospital’s Genetics Department-D120075.
Forever loved, and always missed.
