NOLAN CORNELIUS ROSS JANZEN
Nolan Cornelius Ross Janzen passed away peacefully in the arms of his parents on Wednesday July 9, 2014. His final days were spent at his home, surrounded by the love and care of his closest family and friends. Although his short life was troubled with sickness, Nolan had great moments of happiness and joy. Even at the end when pain gripped him, he tried his very best to smile, and that smile could light up a room.
Nolan leaves behind many friends and caregivers that provided love and support that enhanced his quality of life. Our heartfelt thanks are extended to; Dr. Juan Pablo Appendino, Dr. Aziz Mhanni and Jessica Hartley, Dr. Tannis Wiebe, Dr. Sony Canteenwala, and Janice Nesbitt. The Palliative care team in Steinbach went above and beyond in caring for Nolan, as well as the whole family. For that we will be forever grateful. Thank you Debbie Krahn, Brigitte and Dr. Darren Reimer. We would also like to thank Gemma Potter, Chelsea Marshall, Anne-Christiane Wittig, Adrienn Gacso, Agota Soos, and the dedicated staff at the Movement Centre of Manitoba for believing in Nolan with all their might. Nolan attended the Blumenort Christian Preschool, and we express our appreciation and love to Kristy Penner, Mavis Kehler, Engie Wiebe and all of the staff there for also believing in Nolan, and creating a joyful world for Nolan that he so deserved. He had many friends at preschool as well, all of whom we thank and cherish for making Nolan’s days there so enjoyable. To Nolan’s primary respite worker, who has become our dear friend and family member, Jaycia Koop, we extend our sincere appreciation, admiration, and thanks. The level of care and love she provided to Nolan enhanced his days and awed those who witnessed it. To our dear friend Anna Marie, and the whole Giesbrecht family, we thank you for your help and support.
All of these people, including more too numerous to mention, provided Nolan with love and dignity, beauty and hope, and we thank you all.
Nolan is survived by his loving parents, John and Tracey Janzen, his brother Fletcher, sister Journey, paternal grandmother Carol Janzen, maternal grandparents Ross and Lauma Giguere, uncle and aunt Dave and Teri MacDonald, and cousins Alexander, Nathan, and Ryan MacDonald.
Nolan was predeceased by his paternal grandfather Cornelius Janzen.
The memorial service for Nolan Janzen will be held Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at 2:30 p.m. at Blumenort Evangelical Mennonite Church, Blumenort, MB.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Movement Centre of Manitoba.
