ANNA SWYNAR
Peacefully, with her daughter Jean at her side, Anna Swynar passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at Bethesda Place in Steinbach, MB, at the amazing age of 98.
She is survived by her only daughter Jean Friesen (nee Kostyniuk), four grandchildren: Brian (Lori), Val (Eric),Tracy, and Randy; her great-grandchildren: Shawn, Ashley and Kayla; one stepson David Swynar, one stepdaughter Olive (Bernie) Froese and their families; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her first husband Tony Tarnopolski, her second husband Leonard Swynar, her parents Peter and Paraska Boychuk, four brothers: Mike, John, Steve, Matt; and one sister Mary.
We all knew that every memory we made with Baba, would one day become the good ol’ days we would miss someday, and so our journey begins.
Our family wishes to thank all the staff at Bethesda Place for the many years of care and laughter they brought to Baba each day.
VICHNAYA PAM’YAT
The funeral service will be held Friday, April 11, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB with a private family burial to follow at Zhoda Community Cemetery. Viewing will be held at the chapel prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Anna may be made to Bethesda Place Personal Care Home; 399 Hospital St., Steinbach, MB R5G 0E6; or to the Envision Foundation (2012) Inc.; 84 Brandt Street, Steinbach, MB R5G 0E1.
