It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our dear wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother; Linda Rettaler on Wednesday February 12, 2014 at the age of 84 years.

Mom was born in Arbakka, MB on March 20th. 1929; also raised there and in Vita MB.
Mom and Dad lived for a short time in Dominion city, MB. and the remaining years were spent on the homeplace in Woodmore, MB......the home she loved to spend her days.

She is lovingly remembered by her husband Jack of 64 years; three daughters, Shirley Dreger (Bert Neufeld), Rosemary Empson (Doug), Patsy Gregoire (Clyde), and one son Larry Rettaler. She also leaves to mourn her memory eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
She is also survived by two brothers, seven sisters, three brother-in-laws, four sister-in-laws and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Linda was predeceased by her parents Wasyl and Maria Perchaliuk, one daughter in infancy, one sister Olga Michaniuk and a number of sister-in-laws and brother in-laws.

As Mom aged, arthritis and then her heart slowed her down; “word-find” became her source of many hours of enjoyment. She always had a positive outlook on life; never complaining.
Mom will also be remembered for her love of family, hospitality, generosity and work ethic.

At Mom's request, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service is to be held on Saturday February 22ndat the Greenridge United Church, Greenridge, Manitoba at 2:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Manitoba Arthritis Society.
