ELSIE MINTERN (nee Schalla)
March 1927-January 2014
Peacefully in her sleep, Elsie Mintern, 86, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014 at Bethesda Hospital in Steinbach after a brief illness.
She is survived by her two daughters and one son: Brenda Daly (Patrick), Andy Mintern (Janet) and Debbie Jardine (Ross), her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband Andrew George Mintern, infant daughter Phyllis Joan, her son Reginald Garth Mintern and grandson Keith Daly.
She is and always will be severely missed. Love you, Mom.
The funeral service will be held Monday, Feb. 3 at 2 p.m. with viewing at 1 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel in Steinbach and interment at Memorial Cemetery.
And if I go, while you're still here...Know that I live on, vibrating to a different measure--behind a thin veil you cannot see through. You will not see me, so you must have faith. I wait for the time when we can soar together again,--both aware of each other. Until then, live your life to its fullest. And when you need me, Just whisper my name in your heart...I will be there.
