1927 – 2014
Ray Marchand, late of Ste. Anne, MB and formerly of Estevan, SK passed away at St. Boniface Hospital, Winnipeg, MB on Sunday, January 5, 2014 at the age of 86 years. Ray is survived by his wife Irene (Manaigre, née Dusablon); 6 children; step sons, Mike (Gayleen) Manaigre and Dan (Tammy) Manaigre and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife Lenora (née Stepp).
Ray and Irene owned and managed the Lilac Resort in Ste. Anne for many years.
In keeping with Ray’s wishes, there will be no memorial service and interment will take place in Estevan at a later date.
The family would like to thank the care givers of 5E at St. Boniface Hospital. Those wishing to make donations in Ray’s memory may do so directly to the New Estevan Regional Nursing Home, 1201 – 2nd Street, Estevan, S4A 0M1.
Ray’s final arrangements are entrusted to LeClaire Brothers Funeral Home, Winnipeg, and Hall Funeral Services, Estevan.
